Hi again! This week, I’m taking a break from the kitchen and switching things up on my blog. While origami is not my go-to when it comes to DIY crafts, it did prove to be a huge stress relief in my chaotic week of party planning and sickness.
As the Editor in Chief of a literature and arts magazine called Scribendi, I’ve been planning a release party for the magazine for the past month alongside my staff. This last Friday, the release party went off without a hitch, which was a huge but bittersweet relief. The theme for the party was springtime, flowers, and , and because the magazine is a literary publication, the staff decided that origami flowers as the centerpieces would fit the occasion perfectly. So, we went straight to Pinterest and found some easy-looking tutorials in order to make a variety of flowers. Each staff member was asked to make 12 or more flowers, so needless to say, we had a well-needed craft day in the office.
The tutorial included in this post was by far the prettiest and most delicate of the origami flowers that we made. It is also the one that I found to be the quickest and easiest to make, and it gave me an excuse to take to Adobe Premiere Pro to make another tutorial video. I enjoyed making these, even if 100+ flowers took too many hours to count. Please see the video below and I hope you enjoy it!
I used a 6×6 inch sheet of medium weight paper. These roses can be made in any size with any easily foldable paper!
